Vita: |
Starting out in Armor I discovered after running tanks over the hills of
Germany for a couple of years that I was more attracted to electrical
engineering, so I transferred to Ordnance Corps. After graduate school in EE
and a tour in Viet Nam I went to the Air Force Academy as an Army guy to
teach EE.
Brenda and I married in 1962 and divorced in 1971.
Fortunately we're still best of friends. Vicky was born in 1964.
In
1971 at 10 years after graduation I transferred from Army to the Air Force
and later was assigned as commander of the 1843d Electronics Engineering
Squadron (yes, the AF had such a unit. Ha!).
In 1981 at 20 years
while I was an Air Force guy teaching at the Naval Academy, I retired.
(My joke was that I would transfer to the Navy and go teach at West Point.
Ha!)
In 1990 I moved to Silicon Valley to work as an EE and computer
programmer.
In 2026 I'm about to move to Arkansas to be near my
daughter, ex-wife, granddaughter, and all 6 great-grandkids.
