Retired in March 1997 after 40
years in the government in one capacity or another. Michele & I live on a little
farm in the Shenandoah Valley. We have a booth at the local Farmer’s Market
where we sell eggs, honey and garden produce. I manage to remain relatively
current with my old profession by consulting for the DoD and the DOE every now &
then. Otherwise, it’s beekeeping, tending 50+ laying hens, gardening, model
railroading, etc. I’m also involved with the DC Area Chapter of our class. My
sweetheart, Michele, received her BS in Human Services Counseling. Her career,
though, is looking after this old man and babysitting the two young grandsons
while their mother, Meghan, attends her classes. My father passed away in 2007
at age 91. My healthy mother, at age 92, has relocated to Fort Worth where she
lives with my sister, Carole. Life’s pretty good “down on the farm”. |
