Loved being a parish priest
in the tidewater Chesapeake Bay — countryside of the Northern Neck of
Virginia. Wonderful parishioners, good and rewarding life. Quiet but busy.
Only 11,000 people in Northumberland County and no red lights! By action of
canon law required to retire on 1 May 2011 (The Sunday after my 72nd
birthday) Blessings on all!
Enjoyed life on St Simons Island, GA, but returned to Virginia
after a year or so.
We now
live in the Shenandoah Valley behind the ramparts of the Blue Ridge Mountains,
where I serve two small mountain missions of the Diocese of Virginia.
