It is with great regret and
sorrow that we must notify you of the death of our Classmate, Denny Rooney, on
April 6, 2015, in Frederick, MD, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Denny is survived by wife, Judy;
sons, Dennis, Jr. and Michael; daughter, Amy Junker; siblings Joann, Kathy, and
Gary; 9 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
The family will receive family and friends
from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at
Stauffer’s Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702. A
Catholic Memorial Mass will be held at 9 AM on Friday, April 10, 2015 at
St. Timothy’s Roman Catholic Church, 8651
Biggs Ford Road, Walkersville, MD 21793.
The funeral for Dennis
Rooney will be at 3 PM on April 1, 2016 at Arlington National Cemetery. If you
are attending, please gather at the Administration Building 45 minutes prior.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in
Denny’s memory be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St

Dennis
Michael Rooney passed away on April 6, 2015 in Frederick, MD at the age of 76.
He leaves behind his wife Judy, his children Dennis, Michael and Amy; siblings
Joann, Kathy, and Gary; 9 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
Dennis was born on January 23, 1939 in Chippewa Falls, WI and was preceded in
death by his parents May and Joseph; and his brother Dale.
He graduated from United States Military Academy at West Point in 1961 and
then served our country honorably in two tours of Vietnam. Dennis retired as
Chief of Telecommunications for Montgomery County, MD.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown
Pike Frederick, MD on Thursday, April 9th, 2015 from 6pm to 8pm. A Catholic
Memorial Mass will be held at St. Timothy’s Roman Catholic Church in
Walkersville, MD on Friday April 10, 2015 at 9am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s
Hospital.
